Sorry!

Just want to apologize if you’re still waiting for the Reverse Lookup update I promised before the holiday weekend. It was pushed back a bit(obviously) but this weekend or early next week is looking really good!

Some news..

Hey everyone!

Just a quick post to let you all know we have the latest update to Reverse Lookup coming up soon(estimated release 7/4).

This update brings:

  • background improvements
  • a new “one click” mode, which makes it faster for those of you who primarily launch the app only to look up the most recent unknown caller.
  • experimental steps to supporting SIP callers in the call log

edit: forgot to mention earlier, that the next update will officially drop support for Android 1.5 in the Market version. I suspect this will affect very few users. If there is demand, we will post alternative updates on this site for those users.. but it will probably be every other update that hits the market, unless there is something very important.

Also, the version you currently have installed will continue to work, of course. You just won’t see further updates.

    In other news..

We’re nearing the release of our first game! It’s a puzzle/logic game for Honeycomb tablets and it’s coming along great. It will be free/ad supported, and we’re planning on supporting it down the road with plenty of additional content(both free and cheap in-app purchases).

That’s all I can share at the moment, so check back here for more details later on.

That’s all for now, have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I have a LG Optimus S phone. Your Reverse Number app works great except on thing. It seems to have a mine of its own, when it wants to update looking a my call log. What controls the app, to lookup my call log. Is there anyway I can tell it to update it, so I can see a current listing? Jim

    Hi Jim,

Thanks for checking out the app. The app updates the numbers each time it relaunches, which is less frequently on newer phones with lots of RAM.

So, there is an “invisible” feature that lets you force an update! Just exit the app all the way using your phone’s BACK key until you hit your home screen. At this point, the app has been forced to close completely. It should show the current call log when you relaunch it. To be totally sure, open the call log once before relaunching RL to force your phone to refresh it’s call log cache.

    Reverse Lookup 1.9.11.5

Hi everyone. We just dropped Reverse Lookup and Reverse Lookup Plus updates onto the market.

This update should solve some bugs that some users had reported as well as resolve some layout related issues. We even made the menu icons more visible for Gingerbread users.

In addition, we started a preferences screen. At the moment there are just 2 that we felt our users would enjoy based on frequent feedback.

    1. Default To Manual Entry – I call this one “Tablet Mode”. For users with devices that don’t have call logs, like tablets, you may want to ALWAYS start the app on the manual entry screen. This option allows you to do just that. You can always use your devices BACK button to get to the main calls screen.
    2. Google with Dashes – When your search results in no hits, you may choose to do a Google search at the end as a last resort to finding information. Some users told us they’d like to google the number with the dashes included, so you can do that now as well.. it’s up to you!

As always, let us know if you experience any issues!
